Wild Rumpus in the Patch

Attached with clothespins and duct tape to a wagon full of pumpkins, the sign stood out immediately...Little Max's Pumpkin Patch.

Oh you had me with your sign Little Max...I'll buy anything from you now.

Listen to Max carefully as he and his Dad describe the sizes...small, big, and bigger!

And that's all there was to Max's sales pitch. Almost instantly he turned to shy sales guy instead of rambunctious little boy.

And Max said "I'll eat you up, I love you so."

To Max, the worst part about selling pumpkins is actually letting the buyer take them home.

 It's very sad...

 "And now" cried Max...

"Let the Wild Rumpus Start!"

And let's all sail off through night and day and in and out of weeks and almost over a year...

to where the Wild Things are.

That's usually what happens at family parties isn't it...a wild rumpus! Uncle Skyler trapping Max inside the milk crates kind of rumpus.

But you will never see Ambree roaring a terrible roar...

or Lola gnashing her terrible teeth.

but she will be stealing kisses from handsome Henry.

Olivia probably won't be wearing a wolf suit...but you might see her making mischief of one kind or another.

and for certain you will see beautiful expecting moms saying "Wild Things!"

Yes, there was quite a rumpus in Max's patch yesterday...

but we wouldn't have it any other way now would we.

Goodnight Little Max, you wild thing...and thank you for the pumpkins!

  1. It's been interesting since i've started reading blogs about the tradition of the pumpkin patch visit - which is not done here. Wow, Lisa, your babies of the grand variety are certainly growing up.
